Jackson Hole in 24 hours

After a few set backs to the Jackson Hole trip i had planned three months in advance. I decided to suck it up, and meet the rest of the Cliff Huckstables up in Jackson for one day of skiing on Sunday. So Dave and I departed after working at REI at about 7pm on Saturday, hoping to get to Jackson around 1130 pm. Just in time to meet the rest of the gang at the cowboy bar for some line dancing. However, little did we know, the storm of the year was just about to start pounding the mountains from Salt Lake to Jackson Hole.  Our drive was a complete blizzard the entire way. We finally got in at 330 am. I got about a 2 and half our nap in before getting my morning coffee going. I woke up to the ski report saying 10 inches fell over night. my anticipation was killing me. I had to awake the rest of the crew!

First tram was unreal. Face shots from the top of Rendevous Bowl, to Alta Chutes. This continued for the next 2 hours. And it was just getting deeper and deeper. Snowing at about 2 inches an hour, it was time to start huckin! We found some great cliffs off bird in hand and just about all over the mountain. Anyways, ill let future footage to come show how good it was. But it was my best day of the year so far. Unfortunately we did not get to ski Corbets, as tiny little kids plugged up the entrance and froze up out of fear. It was too good of skiing to wait an hour to drop Corbets.

i skied till about 330, the snow was still super good, but my ankle could take no more abuse. Got in the car, ordered a pizza from Mountain High Pizza Pie and headed back through Wyoming, Idaho, and finally Utah. Got back home sunday night around 10:30. and promplty passed out. What a great 24 hours!

Footage to come…
